Angela Kocze

 "It is important that in ten or twenty years we see our children in parliament, in ministries."

Angela Kocze PhD, is a sociologist. Currently she is a research fellow at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and is also a lecturer on European developmental policies at the University of ELTE.
 
Besides her academic carrier she also worked as a policy maker in the Hungarian government (2004-2008).
 
Previously she worked as a funding director of the European Roma Information Office (ERIO) in Brussels (2003-2004), as well as the former director of the human rights education programme at the European Roma Rights Centre (1998-2003) in Budapest, Hungary.
 
Moreover, she was the founding director of the Romaversitas program (1996) in Budapest which offers a scholarship and mentorship for Roma university students.
 
She is active in the movement for the emancipation of Roma in Europe, and has a particular research and policy interest in issues of women's political representation and social justice. 
 
She has done several research focused on the intersection of gender ethnicity and class.

Thank you Angela! Its so important but, there are also many roma, who dont havev still a change to attend a school! Their livingkonditions are so bad! Im working with this type of familys, in Romania!
