"Here in Sweden it was my sister, Katarina, who opened the doors for Romani people. We worked hard for four years in the movement. Four years had to pass until we believed that we can leave the ghetto.”

"Here in Sweden it was my sister, Katarina, who opened the doors for Romani people. We worked hard for four years in the movement. Four years had to pass until we believed that we can leave the ghetto.”

Rosa Taikon is known all over the world as a silversmith and goldsmith and she learned to use a traditional method of the Kelderás Gypsies in jewelry making. She applies the techniques as an artist and as a jewelry maker. The art crafts of Rosa Taikon, are shown also in the National Museum in Sweden.
